If could to talk about a certain music style, I couldn't because I like the music that get into my my heart. But I have to talk about a Style so I choose to talk about the Peruvian bolero.
Why the Peruvian bolero?
It's a style that I like so much to sing and share with friends. The lyrics of this boleros are so much poetic and beautiful, and that always gets my attention. One of the songs that I like to sing is ''Alma Mia'' by Ramón Aviles with Oscar Aviles.
I knew this song in a trip that I made to Chiloé, about 4 months ago. I was in Dalcahue, a little town in Chiloé and I was hosted in the house of a men called ''Don Lucho''. In that house were hosted three musicians from the Catholic University of Chile. In one night, having a good time, they sang this song and that gets right into my heart. There's a part from the chorus of this song that tells this:
''Fuiste tú todo mi ser
Mi amor todo lo entregué
Y el amor que te profeso
Es el más bello, mujer
Si los lazos que nos unen
Se llegaran a romper
Que acabe ahorita mismo
La existencia de mi ser''
I think this part of the song is so sincere and poetic.
I ended up liking this stye of music because I'm a super romantic person, and the boleros in general make feel happy and fill me of love that I can sing that songs with my friends.
You can sing this music style in a duo or just sing it on your own. Accompanied by guitar at first and then also by the double bass and piano. This style was a fundamental part of every reunion or party called ''jarana''. In particular houses and alleys. These are moments that nourishes and encourages the developing of this music style.
Hi Antonia, Peruvian Bolero is a very interesting style, I'm more into Mexican Bolero that is great too. Regards
